In December 9th to 11th, Year 6 of New Lambton Public went to The Great Aussie Bush Camp.

We had a fresh start by riding a bus and went to camp. The bus arrived and we hopped off to the Great Aussie Bush Camp.

This camp was run by the restaurant so it seemed the food was pretty good. First, we had a welcome drink as a cold icy drink. It was pretty good.

Then, we went to High Ropes as our first activity. You will see it in the homepage of the Great Aussie Bush Camp. It was pretty good. Especially at last, you slide down with a small Flying Fox! Flying Fox is the one you slide down with the rope.

Then, we had a lunch. It was a hot dog. It wasn't really bad. In fact, it was good!

Then, we went to Giant Swing. It was better! It was really thrilling. Except for the going up part. That was scary! And it was 15 metres high! Maybe Paul should try it. He will cry for sure! When we were about to finish, the late boys from cricket match came to join the camp. They also tried Giant Swing too.

Then, we went to the beach. It was called 'Myall Shores' It was weedy beach. Weedy means there is tons of seaweeds. We were going to have a swim and then barbecue. Swimming was great. Except for all those stupid SEAWEEDS. They made me feel all stiff and disgusting. I HATE the weeds! Then, we dried ourselves and went on the bus to go to barbecue area.

It was 10 minutes to go to barbecue area. Then, we sat on a grass and ate our dinner as a barbecue sandwich. It was yummy! Then, we came back and had a drink.

Then, we went to the dining hall. There were several stalls. We were going to do mini fete. They gave some money to make and spend and we have to make our own shops. There were some supplies for the stalls like biscuits or ice creams. We earned some money (of course it¡¯s not REAL money) to spend on the last auction. At the end, we do the auction(°æ¸Å)with our earned money and it might be good or bad. We¡¯ve got an opportunity for going first on activities. Some poor kids got unlucky ones.

Then, we went to bed for next massive day.

Next morning was horrible. The only thing I didn't liked about this camp was the tents. They¡¯re really small and the roof is wet in night. It was really cold so I had to look up for a jumper so I can warm myself. I was the first one to wake up.

We¡¯ve got four activities to do this day. One was canoeing, second was dual Flying Fox, the third one was Rock Climbing and the last one was fencing. We divided into 3 groups and our instructor was Lee Shields.

We went to canoeing. It was my first time to canoe so I was excited. The boat looked a bit small for me but when I went inside, it wasn't small at all! We went to have a practice. Over us were dual flying fox. So we canoed and watched people screaming at once. It was a beautiful lake. I well, except for the bees flying around the flowers¡¦ Anyway when we finished canoeing, we found ourselves pretty wet. So we had to change our clothes before going to next activity.

Next, we did Dual Flying Fox. It was 7 metres high and 150 metres long. It was scary when we go up the ladder to top level. We wore our safety stuff and we clanged on to the metal ropes. Then, off we went! It took a bit of time to go completely down the end. It was a bit scary at the first time but at the next time, it was good.

We had to go and have a lunch. It was same as yesterday. Tomorrow will be same.

Then, we went to do a rock climbing. It was cool but I didn¡¯t liked it because I¡¯m a bit heavy you know. So I managed to climb a few metres but I didn¡¯t reached the top. Well, most didn¡¯t.

Then, we went to fencing. It was a bit boring because it wasn¡¯t thrilling. Anyway it was pretty good. I was being good this day so I got a early shower.

Then, we had spaghetti for a dinner. It was so delicious so I ate 2 plate of them.

So I took a shower and we went to a kind of theatre to do our performance. We did The Australian Fast Bowler. It was pretty good. I was being a cat named ¡®Puddy¡¯ and after that, I¡¯ve got a nickname.

Then we went to bed, ready to leave for sweet home.

The sun of the last day rose over the camp. It¡¯s the last day of the camp.

Today, we had to pack up and clean up the room. I was the one who first woke up and went out of the camp this morning. But the teachers were talking as if they woke up few hours ago.

I putted my bag up in the front and we went to breakfast. It was pretty much same as yesterday but it was okay.

Then, we went to the beaches to ride a boat to Nelson Bay. It took about 2 hours to reach there. We had a swim there. It was pretty nice. It made me to remember the time when we came here with dad.

Then, we rode a ship back to the camp. It was tiring journey back to camp. Anyway, we had a lunch. It was the same stuff: Hot Dog. But it was delicious because we were soon going to get back to camp.

So we hopped on the bus and off we went! I slept in the bus of tiredness. When I arrived, mum welcomed me outside of the bus. I was most glad to see her. I was so happy.

It was tired but excellent experience that will stay in my memories forever!
