On the fourth of August, 2003, year 6 students of New Lambton Public School went to Snowy Camp. We departed school at 6 a.m. and went for a long bus ride. It took 4 hours to get to the city of Canberra.

We went to War Memorial first and we saw many cannons, ships and aircraft there. It looked like a pretty sad place. I had gone to war memorial in Sydney but it was smaller then the one in Canberra.

We had lunch at the car park in War Memorial and headed off to the Parliament House.

When we arrived at Parliament house, I didn't believe the size of that building, because it was sooo big. There is a big dining room that 100 people can eat and I wished to eat there someday (Actully, everybody might wish like that.). A big debating room was also wonderful. I saw that kind of room only on TV so it was good to see in real.

After having a look in the Parliament House, we went to Tumut, the place where we were going to sleep. It was another long ride and I was so bored. So I got sleep.

When we arrived at a motel, we'd got our room numbers to go to and we went to have dinner. It was a delightful dinner.

After dinner, we went to Coles, which is a big market. I bought a Simpsons Comics and a Blue Pepsi. What I suprised was that it was only $1 for a 1L bottle.

Then we watched 'Who Wants To Be a Millionare' and 'Australian Idol'. And we went to bed.

Next day, I woke up first. I shared the room with one of my best friend, Sam Bidey. I actully couldn't sleep because the teachers(Mrs. Negline, Mr. Finlay, Mrs. Clapham and Mr. Thompson) were talking outside of our room. So I awoke at 4 a.m. and prepared myself. Then, I woke Sam up and headed to breakfast at 6 a.m.

After delicious breakfast, we went back to our room to get ready for ski. Then, about 8 a.m. we got on the bus and went to Mt. Selwyn.

I thought there was not much snow, but when I got there, I was surprised. So beautiful views of mountain was covered with snow! I was fascinated. Most of my friends hadn¡¯t seen snow, so they were excited too.

We prepared for ski lesson. Everyone seems to be excited. Of course I was excited too. When we went out, we saw a big snowfield. We did our snowfight. To some of the kids, it was first snowfight in their life. To me, it was first snowfight this year!

Then, we had ski lessons. However, I didn't take ski lesson. I went to high class and it was still easy. Everyone looked me because I was the best skier. It seemed like the best day in Australia.

After skiing, we went to Yarranggobilly (Ya-rang-go-billy) caves. It was wet, dark and muddy. Everybody wetted their pants. Of course, me too. But it was a beautiful cave. I saw some bats flying over the ceiling of the cave.

Then we went to Cooma. That¡¯s the place we¡¯re sleeping. I slept in a bus because I was so tired. When we arrived at a motel, we had the dinner and went to watch the movie. We received free popcorns and a free drinks. Then, we watched the movie, 'Sinbad: The Legend Of The Seven Seas.' I saw it before, so it was a little bit boring to me.

Then we went to our room. I slept with Sam Alan Smith(One name including middle name), Billy, Costa and Sam Bidey. We made Extra-Violence Kung-Fu Movies on the bed.

The next day, which was the last day, we had breakfast at 6 a.m. and we headed off to Canberra. We watched the movie, ¡®Cats and Dogs¡¯ during the ride.

Then when we arrived in Canberra, we went to National Museum Of Australia. It was very interesting place with many interesting things. There was Australia¡¯s pre-history and nowadays treasure. That was the best part.

We had our lunch in front of Parliament House and went to Questacon, which is the inside-park. I bought a lot of merchandise and we headed to home.

We arrived in Newcastle at 8 p.m. It was a tiring and exciting journey.

But most of all, my English skill and friendship must have grown a lot!
